The La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike Race has been an annual event every May for the last 10 years in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This race initially began back in 1986 and was organized by the City of Santa Fe. It ran annually until 1996 when the City of Santa Fe discontinued the event. In 2006 a group of local enthusiasts “CORE Crew” brought back the event. The race has been part of the New Mexico Off-road Series annually since then.

The event is sponsored by several local businesses each year and The La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike Race could not be held without their support. We proudly present our sponsors on our La Tierra Torture bike jersey so be one of the first one hundred people to register for the race each year and you will receive a custom La Tierra bike jersey.

The event is held in the spring every year in the North West quadrant of Santa Fe known as La Tierra. During the last several years the area has been cleaned up and the trails improved and maintained by several groups. The area is now formally known as the La Tierra Trails and maintained by the City of Santa Fe. The area includes twenty plus miles of biking and hiking trails as well as a bike jump park. The trails are fun, fast and not too technical, thus perfect for all abilities and for a mountain bike race. As part of the improvements in the area, the trails are now well marked and a copy of the trail map can be obtained HERE.

Please visit the La Tierra Trails and consider racing in our event each spring.

See you at the TORTURE!
